Joe was a really good guy. I don't know anyone who didn't like him. He was one of a group that used to come over to my house a lot in the old days. We spun the latest records, shot pool, and Joe and I and would sit on bar stools and talk about God knows what. I really liked Joe, and I was sorry when I heard that he passed. He was a cool guy and he left us too soon. - Debby Passman

One of the funniest guy I ever knew, even now! Spent a lot of time drinking, laughing and general bedlam together. Will always remember him with a smile.Jerry McGinley
Joe Maggio Vietnam 1968
While serving in Vietnam I was returning from an R&R when I was sitting in the tarmac at Bien Hoa Air Base when I decided to go into the snack bar that was not far from the terminal. As I was standing in line I heard someone call out my civilian name, it was Joe Maggio.
Joe was an air policeman on the base. So we went back to his air-conditioned barrack were he introduced me to some of his buddies and I stayed a while.
Every time I was able to get out of the field I would catch a flight down to Bien Hoa and stay with Joe.
I was sorry to hear of his passing, we became good friends in Vietnam.

Joe, was one of the funniest guys I've ever known! We spent many nights and days together before he went to the Army. Not much after though. Left us much to early! But I will always remember him.Ronnie Silverman

Agree with you Ronnie...Joe was truly a fun guy and friend. I will always remember him wearing the "Kiss me...I'm Italian" button. He will always be a part of my fondest memories of high school. Thanks Joe.

Joe was the definition of cool. Had some great times and still have nothing but warm memories.
