Oh, man. When I read that Jack died, it really hit hard. We were good friends throughout grade school, junior high, & at Southwest. We lost touch over the years, & I never knew what happened to him, though I thought of him often. Jack had a quirky, unique mind -- & an indelible personality.

Jack was of course a SW alum, but I knew Jack at Hartman. Throughout all those years Jack remained a steady student and though a committed academic Jack was quick, clever and sardonic. Always pleasant Jack was an easy friend, I never saw a rough edge..he seemed somehow mature even in the elementary grades.Throughout the years I often thought of Jack, he will continue to hold a place in my conscious thoughts and memory.

I was saddened to learn of Jack’s passing. What I remember most about him was his wonderfully unique sense of humor. I have fond memories of the skits we put on for the mythology segment of Mrs. Jennings’ English class at Bingham Jr. High. Jack was always hilarious in his own low-keyed inimitable way. He was clearly brilliant and sophisticated beyond his years.
