Survived By: He leaves behind a daughter, Mrs. Laura Burns and husband, Dr. John Cmar of Columbia, MD, four sisters; Mrs. Mary Burns-Miller (Henry) of Charlotte, NC: Ms. Melisa Burns of Kansas City ,MO: Dr. Dorothy Rea (George) of Cape Coral, FL; Ms. Penelope Athon of Marshall, MO; one brother, Mr. Scott Burns of Overland Park, KS; his step-mother, MS Patricia Burns of Mission, KS; as well as two nieces , 5 nephews and a host of friends.

Foster C. Burns, age 62, passed away suddenly at his home in Covington, KY on June 13, 2011. He was born on February 20, 1949, in Kansas City, MO, son of the late Mr. Foster C. Burns, Sr. and the late Mrs. Gloria Hunter-Callaway. Foster grew up in Kansas City, where his family owned Cricket West on The Plaza. He graduated from Southwest High School and attended Wentworth Military Academy. He moved to the Cincinnati area in 1970, where he made his career in computer consulting. He was owner and founder of Burns and Associates of Covington, KY.  His step father, Mr. William S. Callaway also preceded him in death. The love of his life, Ms. Jody Robinson of Blueville, KY also survives as well as his spoiled menagerie of pets. A celebration of his life was held Saturday, September 24th at 11:30 a.m. at St Peters' Episcopal Church , 100 E. Red Bridge Rd, Kansas City with a gathering to follow at the home of Joe and Melissa Athon. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to either the National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org or the Cincinnati SPCA www.adoptastray.com .
