MARIELLA WILSON OBITUARY

Wilson, Mariella (Roby), age 69, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with Lung Cancer.

Mariella was born August 22, 1949 to Russell C. and Fern (Crain) Roby in Kansas City, Missouri. After attending Southwest High School and graduating in 1967, she married Michael Wilson on May 5, 1967. They were long time residents of Raytown, MO until settling North of the River. Mariella was employed at Plastic Enterprises for over 25 years and Par Electric where she spent the last 15 years. She developed deep relationships with her coworkers and made great memories from both places, they truly were her second family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and two sisters. Mariella is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Wilson. Her children Melinda Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Marcie Taulbert (Son in Law Brad) and Tony Wilson. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Monica, Connor and Carson Taulbert of Lee's Summit, MO and Taylor and DeVoe Wilson of Topeka, Kansas. Also a sweet little great- grandbaby due in 2019.
Mariella wanted to be remembered as positive and fun! That is not a hard request considering she brought the best laughs and advice to those who knew her. Heaven is a little brighter with her presence.
-From Michael about his beloved wife-Mary was a beautiful rose that taught you how to bloom and showed strength. Had a wonderful aura about her and never disappointed anyone she met.

I knew Mariella from the few years we attended church together. We became good friends before she moved. She was pretty, sweet, and fun. I don't remember us running together at Southwest except to chat occasionally.

I tried to find her a few years ago when I saw she was one of our missing classmates, with no success. Unfortunately, today I found her obituary.

I remember you. You fixed me up on my first double date with you and your date and  a guy named Gary from Center high. It was at the spring of sophomore year. You were always so much fun.
