DAWN EVANS OBITUARY

Dawn Evans of Kansas City, Mo., died July 4, 2006, at her home. It was Dawn's wish that her remains be cremated. Friends may gather to celebrate her life from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Dawn was born May 7, 1949, in Kansas City. She was a graduate of Southwest High School. She owned and operated a limousine service before retiring. Her only daughter, Carrie, was killed in a car accident several years ago. Dawn was seriously injured in the same accident and never recovered fully from the physical trauma. In recent years, she suffered from multiple sclerosis and other ailments, but managed to keep her sense of humor and patience throughout her illness. Her parents, James L. and Betty Evans, preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, Jimmie Evans, of Kansas City; a sister, Elaine Evans, of Houston and a niece, Kellie Geraghty, of San Diego. She is also survived by her longtime companion and caregiver, Rusty Manassero, of the home. (Arr: Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, 816-942-2004)

Dawn had this really great car that everyone coveted!smiley It was an old convertible with leather interior and great body style. Dawn would pick several of us up for school and manage to get us there on time! She was sweet and kind and much fun. So sorry to learn of her passing.
